File747.com was born of the idea by a simple person of wanting to provide a free service to others that would make their lives easier by helping to save precious time. We offer a free service that allows you to send large files of up to 30 MB each (that’s about a one minute video taken from a digital camera!) using your own already established e-mail account to your recipient’s own e-mail account. There is no having to create and maintain a new e-mail account with File747.com. We are able to continue to provide this free standard (account types) service from generous sponsors who use this same service and from ads inserted in our website.
Signing Up
What you will need to do is to insert a username and password when you sign up to use our services. We have intentionally kept the registration very simple for security reasons. Once you have confirmed your e-mail address, you can begin sending large files to anyone in the world.
How It Works
Once you send a file to our server, your recipient will receive an instant notification e-mail with your personalized message included, informing him or her that there is a file waiting to be downloaded. Your recipient has 10 days to download this file before it is automatically cancelled from our server. You will receive a confirmation e-mail that the file was successfully downloaded.
Security
For each file that is sent to our server, an individual security key is created in order for the file to be downloaded.
